Delete your Lekhio account
You can delete your account yourself at any time, from the app or on the web. It takes a minute.
First, keep a copy
The law expects you to keep your business records for several years after each tax return. Deleting your account erases them, and we cannot give them back. So download your copy first: sign in, go to You, and under Your documents press Your data. It gives you everything we hold in one file.
How to delete it
- Sign in to the Lekhio app, or at lekhio.app.
- Go to You, then Delete your account.
- Read what goes, then confirm.
Cannot sign in? Email info@lekhio.app from the address on your account and ask us to delete it.
If you pay through the App Store or Google Play
Deleting your account does not stop a subscription you bought through Apple or Google. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions first. A subscription paid on our website stops when your account is deleted.
What is erased
Your records, receipts and everything else in your account are erased straight away, along with the books you set up. Books someone else also uses are handed on to them, not erased. Your HMRC connection, your National Insurance number and the details kept with them go too.
What outlasts it
- Our nightly backups hold your records, encrypted, until they are deleted after fourteen nights. The Google Drive copy can sit in its bin for up to 30 days more.
- A note that an account was deleted, which holds nothing that says whose it was.
- If you paid us by card, Stripe keeps its own record of those payments, as the law requires it to.
The full detail is in our privacy policy.
